Here at Intercept we have been rescuing all the woollens that were unable to be sold at the Salvation Army Family Store in Whangarei. All that wonderful natural fibre! Whilst we managed to use a little of it, we don't yet have a volunteer who is willing to sew mainly using up these woollens. (Anyone out there?)
Jenny recently took a weekend break on Waiheke Island where she met Bea of Heke Designs and a wonderful collaboration was established.
Bea makes the most beautiful garments, but struggled to find enough good, used merino to work with.
The Intercept team agreed that this would be a great place for all our remaining woollens, so they were bagged up and sent off to Auckland with a supportive partner who was already heading that way.
Bea picked them up (in her electric car).
Bea has donated two gorgeous garments for us to sell in the Intercept store.
What could be more perfect??
